God’s favour in Orang Asli Ministry.

In 2015 soup kitchen ‘food for poor’ programs did not see much benefit in reaching out to feed the poor in JB after it started two years ago. At the same time we had opportunity to provide food for the poor orang asli in Rompin, Pahang and we decided to support the local work in this area.

What started as food for orang asli open the door to the medical ministry and in 2016 we have made 10 trips visiting three difference villages, seeing as many as 100 plus patients in one trip. Beside developing our relationship with orang asli we were able to support some of the community needs in kampong Kedaik. We build new well for the villages and bless them with clean water.

Once again God open door for us to minister his word to three villages through local bro Johnas who came along side to be the teacher and co-ordinator. He was able to conduct services every Sat and Sundays in the villages. In December 26 we baptise 11 people in kampong Kedaik and Rantau Panjang and we are looking forward to Easter for more to be baptised.

Starting from Jan 2017 Bro Johnas is engaged as coordinator for pastoral work among the OA Community and is paid RM900.00 per month. He will co-ordinate all services including evangelism, teaching, preaching and worshiping.

This year we have planned to embark in education ministry to support orang asli school going children. This coming 18 Feb 2017 will be visiting an education programme at Muazam Shah run by Kuantan Presbyterian Church.

We will continue to provide basic groceries to 45 Christian families and hoping to achieve a target of 100 families this year.

We need your prayer support in this ministry.  We also welcome those who can commit time and talent. Come and join us and be the light and salt to these Orang Asli.
